Hallstatt is what I would call picture perfect. The village is situated on the edge of a lake and is surrounded by mountains. When we arrived it was also snowing! It felt like we were in a postcard. There is not much to do here but gawk at the beauty that surrounds you. We stayed in Hallstatt for one night before heading to Vienna. You can also do Hallstatt in a day trip from Salzburg but we didn’t want to be rushed. Read More
Christmas in Salzburg
This year we decided we would spend Christmas abroad. Salzburg was the destination of choice. I had heard from so many people that Austria was beautiful and the fact that they have christmas markets was a major drawcard. We spent three nights here before continuing on to explore more of Austria. Read More

Travel guide: Lisbon, Portugal
Pastel coloured buildings, vintage trams, multi coloured tiles and stunning vistas are a few of the reasons why I adore Lisbon. What makes me love the place even more is the food! So delicious and so cheap. Portugal is one of the most affordable countries to travel to in Europe, great for the budget traveler. You can travel here all year around due to the mild climate. We visited in April and spent the first 3 days of our day road trip around Portugal in Lisbon. Read More
