Christmas is my favourite time of the year and London celebrates it spectacularly well. Coming from New Zealand I’m used to having a summer Christmas –  beach, BBQ’s & jandals. Now that I live in the Northern hemisphere I can sing along to christmas carols like ‘walking in a Winter Wonderland’ without feeling like a phoney. To break up our flight from New Zealand to London we stopped in Melbourne for a long weekend. I absolutely adore Melbourne. There is an abundance of culture, great eateries, amazing shopping and lovely green spaces. Normally before I go on holiday I do a lot of research to find out the best places to go but luckily for us we had friends and family take us to their favourite spots.
